Review: Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine

Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine

The Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine offers an effective workout for those on a budget.

Summary
The Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine offers excellent quality, especially at this price. However, it probably isn’t right for someone who comes from a rowing background – such as a college rower. It is better suited for those who are looking to purchase their first rowing machine or want to lose or stay in shape. The Stamina 1205 Precision Rower is also a good choice for this purpose.
While it doesn’t come packed with a whole lot of technological features, it more than makes up for this with its build quality, effectiveness, smoothness, and perhaps most importantly, its low price. Despite the low price, there is surprisingly little to complain about. However, the seat could do with a bit more padding. Although, placing a folded towel or a thin pillow on the seat should makes things more comfortable.

Detailed Overview

SMALL FOOTPRINT

The Glider 1050 has a compact footprint, measuring 23.5 “x 46,” which is beneficial for those who have limited space in their home for exercise equipment. Despite its small size, you are still able to enjoy the same effective workout as rowers twice the size. It is also very easy to store, thanks to its small footprint.

CONSTRUCTION

Being constructed with an aluminum center beam and tough steel frame ensures that the machine can withstand years of use, even if used frequently. It is a sturdy piece of equipment and has a maximum user capacity of 250 pounds. Although, the seat could be more comfortable.

SMOOTH MOTION

While budget rowing machines can never rival the motion of higher-end rowers that cost hundreds of dollars more, the Body Trac 1050 still does a reasonably good job of mimicking the smooth motion of rowing on the water. This is thanks to the adjustable cylinder resistance arms and ball-bearing roller system.

DISPLAY

The Body Trac Glider comes equipped with an easy-to-read multifunction fitness monitor that tracks your total strokes, calories burned, stroke count and workout time.

RESISTANCE

The 12 levels of adjustable shock resistance do a good job of challenging you and adding variety to your workout. Switching between the resistance levels is a simple and quiet process.

WARRANTY

This rower comes with a 1 year frame and 90 days parts warranty.
